Famous Americans Reception : February 29, 2008. The fifth-graders at Sope Creek came to school dressed as the "Famous Americans" they had been studying. They paraded throughout the school, and then held a reception in the cafeteria, where each student presented artifacts about his or her character and told the character's story. Congressman Tom Price was the guest of honor at this special day. You will see pictures of most of the kids in costume, and a few pictures of the reception at the end. Our Lizbeth was Sojourner Truth.
