7/7 - New Favorite
Many thanks to whomever posted this delicious and super-easy creamy mushroom chicken dish. The sauce had a delicate, rich flavor that had us both wanting to lick the dish. This one's a keeper. http://therecipecritic.com/2016/06/creamy-parmesan-garlic-mushroom-chicken/
7/9 - Butterflies and Lantana
From the moment I brought these lantana plants home, the butterflies started buzzing around them. Such a pretty and cheerful sight during a mournful few days.

Chicken Caprese recipe made using shrimp. Delicious!
7/21 - Garden Gnome
Goose loves the lantana as much as the butterflies do! Silly girl.
7/24 - Hard Work
Our subdivision requires that garbage cans be hidden from view, but we weren't loving the smell of having it in the garage. So John worked all day in the hot sun to make a little trash can pad behind the garage. What a great son!
8/11 - Just beautiful
Nothing else to say. These butterflies are all over the lantana, and watching them gives me such pleasure.

8/21 - Rachel
Our beautiful niece Rachel has honored us with a visit this weekend, all the way from Colorado. It's been wonderful catching up with her, and she has been a great walking buddy for me.
Plumbago - we love the blue color, and get one each year if we can find it.
